Automatic-Fastening Set 8 NO, bright zinc-plated from item joins two Line 8 profiles at a right angle to create a connection that is highly resistant to displacement, torsion and bending. This variant has been optimised for profiles with closed grooves.
The shortened Automatic Fastener is screwed into a profile groove. The wall of the profile only needs to be opened up a minimal amount so that the Hexagon Socket Head Cap Screw can be tightened. Profiles can be retrofitted to constructions and moved at any time.
Special form of the Automatic-Fastening Set for installation in profiles with closed grooves. The groove is opened as shown below.
The fastener is located inside the profile cavity. To access the fastening screw just drill a hole into the profile. The grey Cap is used to close the hole.
A T-Slot Nut is inserted into the groove in the second profile and forms the counterpart for the Automatic Fastener screw.
If this groove in the second profile is also closed, the T-Slot Nut must be inserted from either the profile’s end face or through a larger opening in the groove cover created beforehand.

Automatic-Fastening Sets should always be used in pairs.
The Automatic Fastener is screwed into the groove in the end face of a Line 8 Profile (anti-clockwise thread). Hexagon Socket Head Cap Screw M6 is held captive in the internal thread of the Automatic Fastener.

The screw can be tightened through a pre-drilled hole 20 mm in diameter. A special L-Key 5 A/F N (0.0.492.59) is used for this purpose.
After tightening the screw of Automatic-Fastening Set 8 N, the hole is sealed with a Cap to prevent it from accumulating dust and to facilitate cleaning.
